Globalization

A business active in 185 countries born from a mission to “help to create local industries”

Sewing and garment manufacture are one of the first industries to be developed in many of the world’s emerging economies.
JUKI, whose core business is industrial sewing machines, has been expanding into overseas markets since the 1950s with the mission of “helping to create local industries.”
JUKI has expanded its market presence to 185 countries representing more than 90% of the world’s nations, spanning both developed and developing nations, while adapting to the unique culture and business customs of each country and region.

Net sales in overseas markets now account for 80% of JUKI’s total net sales. In particular, 95% of JUKI’s industrial sewing machines are sold in overseas markets. JUKI employees in their second or third year with the company are traveling to emerging countries to develop markets with the same ambition and passion as their seniors.

JUKI’s manufacturing, development, and sales bases also have a wide geographic spread globally.
JUKI has established a maintenance and parts supply system to keep production running at customer factories and to help improve productivity and production efficiency.
JUKI also promotes measures to strengthen governance in many countries, tailoring its approaches to their many different languages, laws, cultures, and climates.

Transformation6X

In 2021, JUKI established the 6X (Six Transformations) Committee. Top management and other officers are taking leadership roles and working together with employees to gather wisdom and boldly and aggressively implement reforms that will enhance JUKI’s corporate value.
