JUKI Group Environmental Policies

The JUKI Group will contribute to customers and the global environment through environment-friendly business activities and manufacturing.

The JUKI Group places importance on the global environment as a manufacturing (Monozukuri) company and works aggressively on the effective use of resources, recycling, and energy saving.
The Group also provides safe products that place less environmental load on customers and is helping to develop industry in the region with the aim of being widely trusted and valued by both society and JUKI customers.

ECO MIND Declaration

In its work to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society, the JUKI Group practices environmental management focused on realizing three core aims: “a low-carbon society,” “a recycling-oriented society,” and “a society that prevents environmental pollution and coexists in harmony with nature.”

JUKI’s “ECO MIND Declaration” consisting of an “Environmental Philosophy” and “Environmental Action Guidelines” more concretely demonstrates these principles to all of JUKI’s stakeholders.
Based on this declaration, the JUKI Group has formulated a specific set of “Environmental Conservation Guidelines” with which the JUKI Group will promote environmental initiatives and implement group-wide environmental conservation activities.
The JUKI Group also exchanges information and deploys it horizontally to raise the level of the entire Group.

Environmental Philosophy

The JUKI Group recognizes that activities of enterprises are closely related to the global environment, and is making efforts to:

  • Contribute to the local community and society by environment-conscious activities.
  • Provide people around the world with environmentally friendly products.
  • Play an active role to hand down a better global environment to future generations through continuous activities.

Environmental Action Guidelines

  • Prevent global warming by promoting energy-saving in all business activities and use resource efficiently by implementing the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle).
  • Provide products with less environmental load by planning, researching, developing, procuring, and manufacturing with environmental influences in mind.
  • Contribute to countries and regions by modifying environmental conservation activities to suit local conditions wherever JUKI does business as a global company.
  • Observe environmental laws and other agreed requirements, and prevent environmental pollution.
  • Actively disclose environmental information.
  • Raise “awareness of ecological problems” among employees through educational campaigns.
