Sustainability at JUKI
Mind & Technology
for Our Sustainable Society
Sustainability at JUKI embodies its corporate slogan, “Mind & Technology.” JUKI aims to create products that put the customer first. Every employee strives to enhance the quality of their work and refine their skills with their sights set on customer satisfaction. The collective results of these efforts will perpetuate JUKI’s ‘heart-centered technology’ for future generations.
To realize its long-term corporate vision, “becoming a global, innovative mono-koto zukuri (manufacturing and value-creation)company that survives in the 21st century.” JUKI will integrate solutions to various sustainability issues into its Medium-term Management Plan and thoroughly implement management with an emphasis on ESG perspectives. Through these efforts, JUKI will contribute to a sustainable society while achieving sustainable growth of JUKI.
Sustainability Policies
JUKI will realize a sustainable society by continuing to create and provide products and services that benefit society through JUKI’s heart-centered technologies and customer-first philosophy, two core elements of its corporate slogan, “Mind & Technology.”
With this end in sight, JUKI will act in accordance with its “Corporate Philosophy,” “Basic Management Policies,” and “Corporate Code of Conduct” to sustainably enhance its corporate value.
Sustainability Promotion Structure
The JUKI Group has established a Sustainability Promotion Committee chaired by the Representative Director & President. The mission of this committee is to solve social challenges and achieve sustainable growth for the entire JUKI Group by incorporating the concept of “sustainability”—the idea that the “environment,” “society,” and “economy” will continue to exist in the future with no loss of their current value—into the business activities of the JUKI Group.
The Sustainability Promotion Committee meets four times a year to deliberate and decide on sustainability policies, plans, and measures, manage progress, and report and make proposals to the Board of Directors and other relevant bodies.
The Sustainability Promotion Committee, the Management Strategy Council, and the Risk Management Conference work together to formulate long-term corporate strategies to strengthen governance and promote management based on a sustainability perspective.
