DX (Data-driven Management)

JUKI’s DX (Digital transformation)

JUKI is building a data-driven management environment in which CRM data is used to manage sales activities, MES data from the production system is used to keep track of production statistics, and ERP data is used to keep track of functions ordering, accounting, and related processes.

Operations at the head office and individual sites are synchronized based on information on the JUKI Group collected and stored around the world in real time. Synchronized operations enable precise decision-making, quick management judgments, and an enhanced ability to respond to various changes.

JUKI’s approach to DX strategy

Restructuring data-driven management with DX

JUKI has planned out three structural reforms and six transformations in its Medium-term Management Plan for 2023 to 2025.
As the foundation for these reforms and transformations, JUKI is promoting the “restructuring of data-driven management.”

JUKI will promptly establish a data-driven management environment using CRM data to manage sales activities, MES data from the production system to keep track of production statistics, and ERP data on ordering, accounting, and related functions. This new data-driven management environment will ensure that corporate activities are fully transparent (visualized with data).

Supply Chain Reform

Geopolitical risks and pandemic events can have major impacts on JUKI’s global supply chain such as production facility lockdowns and logistical fragmentation of procurement.
JUKI is in the process of upgrading to a global ERP, both to increase efficiency and diversify risk.

JUKI facilitates real-time status checks and speedy management decisions by linking the head office to sales and production companies and by linking independent sales management to independent production management.

On the sales front, customer information has been isolated within individual systems. JUKI will enhance services for individual customers by integrating this information across systems and converting it into comprehensive big data.

Reforming work styles from a systems perspective

As the evolution and practical application of IT systems such as AI and 5G accelerate, the introduction of RPA to automate transcription and other tasks formerly performed by people will improve operational efficiency, productivity, and working hours.

In addition, as manpower shortages become increasingly serious against the backdrop of declining birthrates, JUKI’s IT systems support teleworking and other flexible work styles.
