Walking trail

The walking trail separating the plum and cherry trees covers a distance of about 2 km. The plants and trees cultivated on the grounds express the four seasons: plum and cherry blossoms in spring, leaves and azalea blossoms in summer, maple leaves in autumn, camellia and a thin blanket of snow in winter. Strollers on the path pass a carp pond on their way. We recommend tranquil walks along the path for healing.

Walkway to the plum trees
The many carp in the pond thrive in wholesome waters obtained by filtering wastewater from the factory.
In spring, plum blossoms spread across the whole factory site.
Brandy made from harvested plums is a hidden specialty of the Ohtawara plant.

In-house power generation

In-house power generation equipment provides backup power in the event of a power grid blackout due to a lightning strike or accident.
