Thank you for your visit to JIAM2008.
The International Apparel Machinery Trade Show "JIAM 2008 Singapore" sponsored by Japan Apparel Sewing Machinery Association (JASMA) was held for four days from May 13th(Tue) to 16th(Fri), 2008. It was the first time for JIAM to be held outside Japan. The show was held at the Singapore Expo, Hall 2 to 4 (around 25,000㎡) in Singapore participated by 200 companies from 19 countries.
JUKI had the largest booth area among the exhibitors (1,080㎡) exhibiting 57 units of industrial sewing machines and 14 units of household sewing machines including new, trial, coming soon and existing machines. Other than machinery, JUKI made a lot of presentations such as the IE support corner to suggest the ideas to reduce the man-hours on production management and increase the efficiency of factory improvements with data measurable Intelligent Panel (IP), the technical solution corner to introduce our cutting-edge and unique technologies by using 3D-CG pictures and skeleton-type machines, the customer support corner to introduce our broader customer support activities such as support menus for before and after-sales services, attachment making and demonstration of sewing, and the parts corner to introduce how to tell genuine parts from counterfeits and how to utilize the web parts lists, to introduce our new concept "Be the Best in CS" together with our comprehensive technologies and services.
The show ended successfully gaining good attention from visitors. The attracting exhibits were a coming soon model AMS-224EHS-4530 ( computer-controlled cycle machine with input function for the largest area among the series ), a trial model ASN-690X ( serging machine ), presentation at IE support corner, attachment making and demonstration of sewing for improvement of productivity, eco-friendly Direct-Drive and Dry-Head machines which meet the requirements of end-users. Also, we published a brochure "A People-Friendly and Earth-Friendly Company" for our customers to introduce our daily activities for environmental protection and energy-saving.
