CISMA 2013 (China International Sewing Machinery & Accessories Show 2013) was held in the Shanghai New International Expo Center in Shanghai for four days from the 25th (Wednesday) to the 28th (Saturday) of September, 2013. This show is held every two years and is the largest-scale international exhibition for sewing machinery. Twelve-hundred companies, mainly consisting of sewing machinery manufacturers from 21 countries, participated in CISMA 2013, which was held in a venue as large as 100,000 square meters. Approximately 48,000 people visited CISMA 2013. |  |
| JUKI displayed its 48 models of state-of-the-art industrial sewing machines and 16 models of household sewing machines (64 models in total) in six sections categorized by business, as well as and three special sections. The JUKI booth was crowded with many visitors the whole day, each day of the show. In particular, the MF-7923-H23-B56/UT59, provided with the thread-fray preventing function, automatic machines such as the AB-1351, which help reduce increasing personnel costs, the AMS-221ENTS-3020, which is able to sew with two-different-color threads and the soon-to-be-launched household sewing machine MO-1000, provided with a new function called "easy-threader", were popular among the visitors. |  |
| In the presentation section, new products and various solutions for addressing problems such as labor shortages and rises in wages were introduced while utilizing a big screen. In addition, advantages of automatic machines were introduced by demonstrating an improvement case of a sewing plant which installed JUKI's automatic machines. In some time slots, the presentation section was so crowded that some visitors were forced to stand. |
