Coverstitch Machine

This sewing machine is the world's first "dry head type" small cylinder-bed coverstitch machine. In the top and bottom coverstitch machine categories, the MF-7200D Series belongs to the small cylinder-bed category. This Series has achieved the smallest cylinder diameter within the category. With the MF-7200D, the hemming and covering of small tubular shape sewing products such as the "sleeve cuffs" of sportswear and ladies' cut and sewn garments and the "necklines" of children's wear can be carried out with ease, thereby improving the seam quality and increasing the sewing efficiency.

The world's first semi-dry-head top and bottom coverstitch machine has been developed. With the excellent functions inherited from the MF-7700 Series, the MF-7700D is provided with a dry frame mechanism to eliminate the cause of oil stains. Stain removing work or re-sewing work is substantially reduced by protecting sewing products from being stained with oil, thereby improving the quality of finished products.

This is a flat-bed coverstitch machine which can be applied to a broader range of sewing processes such as the hemming of sleeves and bottoms of T-shirts and coverstitching sportswear and knitwear.

E10: The machine is intended for an endless elastic band attaching process. E20, E21: The machine is used for spandex elastic band sewing processes for briefs. The machine produces soft seams, making it best-suited for band attaching processes where seams are required to have sufficient elasticity.

A new model with a direct-drive servomotor has been introduced as an addition to the MF Series of JUKI sewing machines. The new machine consumes only about half the power of the conventional models. (compared with the model equipped with the clutch motor) A mounting base for the direct-drive type machine head is provided as standard with a hand pulley.
