The M (semi-dry) type model no longer requires oiling in the frame (having adopted grease lubrication instead).
Compared with the conventional model equipped with a V-belt AC servomotor, the new model consumes 23% less electrical power. This is a significant improvement in energy-saving performance.
Through design adjustments in the mechanical balance, the new model produces 3.5 dB less noise than the conventional model.
This model has been awarded the Japan Good Design Award for 2008.
*1 RoHS Directive
A European Directive to limit the use of 6 hazardous substances (lead, hexavalent chromium, mercury, cadmium, PBB, and PBDE) in electrical and electronic equipment.
Products containing any of these substances at concentrations equal to or exceeding the permitted levels specified in the Directive are prohibited from being sold or distributed within the EU region.
*2 Juki Group Green Procurement Guideline
The parts-procurement guideline specified independently by JUKI.
The voluntary JUKI standards set under this unique parts-procurement guideline are stricter than the standards of the EU RoHS Directive. The guideline lists 17 substances not to be included in products, 9 substances to be reduced voluntarily, and 394 substances to be voluntarily controlled.
