Juki Corporation issued the 1st Edition of the "Juki Group Green Procurement Activity Guideline" in August 2004, and provides the procurement standards of parts, materials, etc. used in the products in this guideline to supply the environment-conscious products to the customers by maintaining and enhancing the environmental compatibility of the products.
In July 2010 we issued the 7th Edition that responds to additions of newly prohibited chemical substances and an EU REACH Regulation (*1), and have been procuring and controlling parts and materials under Juki voluntary criteria that are far severer than RoHS Directive (*2).
*1

This is an EU regulation that provides "Registration," "Evaluation," "Authorization," " Restriction" of all chemical substances (1 ton or more per year) that are produced and imported.
*2

The products that include these substances with more than a defined value are prohibited from being distributed in the EU region.
